Sunlight on the Chrysler Building's Art Deco crown
Sunlight glints off the stainless steel, Art Deco crown of New York's iconic Chrysler Building.
Designed by William Van Alen and completed in 1930, it was then the tallest building in the world.
Though now surpassed in height, it endures as perhaps the most elegant and iconic of all skyscrapers.
