The Deco-style Marlin Hotel with a pink Cadillac

The streamlined, Marlin Hotel on Miami Beach's neon-lit Collins Avenue with a vintage, pink, 1956 Cadillac convertible parked in front.

The Marlin was designed in 1939 by L. Murray Dixon, one of the master architects of South Beach's signature Tropical Deco style.

Island Record and movie mogul Chris Blackwell restored the building beautifully in the early 1990s and added a small recording studio inside the hotel.
