A Tropical Deco screen door on a single family home in the Flamingo Park area of Miami Beach, Florida. The pressed metal design -- featuring sunbeams, tropical vegetarion and ocean waves -- probably dates back to the late-1930s or early 1940s. Screen doors like this were typical in South Florida before airconditioning became commonplace. This photograph was made in 1993, but as of 2018, this remarkable vintage door still survives there.
